1.
A blow to the head Binding my feet hanging my neck There is no plan to this meaningless progress no linear path, no obvious end Caught in a brambe, thorns ripping me open spewing my insides, leabing me hollow We turn our backs if hindight is 20/20 the path should be clear instead we cyvle through the defeat of years I clench my fist turn the bones and the ash under my feet The history we’re bound to repeat Scraping the bottom, I divulge my ignorance Blinded by pride, I grasp for a rope To pull myeself out of this well of false help And what i’ve learned of this problematic plight This Was Not Progress To know what can be done, to stop an ocean’s rage The bilges overflow, drowning is my escape
2.
Bury Your Head Claw Out Your Eyes Pain seeming so significant in my life is nothing against the body count The underprivileged, the animals those outside my center of self Bombs falling, the protective glass disappeared Gutted lives, harrowing despair The realest vision, a world unedited the stench revealing something far too real AND MY THE DEAD STINK SO Lifeless among the debris ruins stretch for miles how long until the shadows stretch to my home Bury Your Head Claw Out Your Eyes
3.
Glistening sands, an orgy of dust Empty horizons, scorching death The land that was lost, cradle of life Burned away, evaporation of living earth A disgruntled mother, scorns her spawn That wanted for not, yet drank her breast dry Neglecting terminal illness, denial of the sages Cancerous wounds, boiling blood as exemplified through humanity approaching the end do we cower in fear or embrace the wretched end Final comprehension of collective demise RAGING SANDS COVER OUR BONES
